Pressing On

Happy New Year to you! After long reflection and prayer, we are calling 2012 a year of Jubilee for our family - we are so thankful to God for His faithfulness in all circumstances and are determined to walk in gratitude and in  freedom as we experience His grace and seize the opportunities to love people each day of this new year, in the midst of both trials and blessings. Our scripture reading and memorization will lead us to many passages, but we are focusing upon this verse as our primary verse for the year to plant in our hearts and live each day:

"But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus." Philippians 3:13b-14

Sara Groves has always been one of the artists whose music God has used to speak volumes to my heart, as I have experienced both encouragement and conviction from many of her songs. May you dream of Jubilee this year as you walk with Jesus and experience the blessed freedom of knowing, loving, and serving Him.
